Details of Engineering Project Manager

ITCON Services is seeking to hire a motivated, driven, and technically knowledgeable construction management Project Manager to join our team. As a senior level Project Manager candidate will serve as an Owner’s Representative in the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) section of the Pentagon Building Management Office (PBMO). Candidate will Support O&M’s mission to monitor building automated controls systems (BAS), supervise maintenance repairs and building modernization projects, and respond to emergency situations such as flooding. Candidate will be responsible for developing project plans and scopes of work, gathering project requirements, technical writing, review and comment on submittals across engineering disciplines and coordinating with other departments for project requirements. Candidate will provide expertise in the areas of building controls and facility management. Candidate will conduct research, offer insight gained through experience, and advise their client on products and techniques used in facilities engineering, innovative management processes, and emerging technologies to minimize cost, decrease facility downtime, and provide quality.

The Program Manager is expected to work independently, employ effective time management skills to organize and handle multiple highly visible priorities, projects, and products simultaneously. Additional tasks will include advising and instructing project teams on process improvements to promote efficient project delivery and adherence to processes and standards.

This opening is for a full-time salaried position located at our customer facility in Arlington, Virginia. Candidate will be dividing time between client site and ITCON office. Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Candidate must have at least 10 years of related construction or facility engineering work experience with a BS degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, science or mathematics; or
  • 20 or more years construction related technical experience and must be a licensed Master/Journeyman Craftsman or have an active general contractor’s license.
  • Preferred: Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or licensure in HVAC, Mechanical Controls, or Commissioning.
